Lucy Steinkamp Miller passed unexpected surrounded by her entire family on September 20, 2022 while in Denver Colorado at the young age of 71. She was born on July 30, 1951 in Elmhurst Illinois to Amanda (Tassinger) and Paul Steinkamp.

Lucy was the perfect wife, mother and grandmother, daughter-in-law-mother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband of 41 years and sole mate Mark Miller, sons Zachary Miller and Matthew Miller, grandson Xander Miller and granddaughter Taylor Miller (expected October 19th), daughter-in-laws Kaila Miller and Annalyse Miller as well as sister of Lora Pena and John Steinkamp and many nieces and nephews.

Lucy lived in Sutter Creek for 33 years raising her treasured family. She was looking forward to moving to her new “perfect” home - a gathering place for all her family and friends.

A loving, caring, selfless and giving person who treasured all her friends of which there were so many.

Lucy loved traveling, was an avid reader, making heirloom quilts for her family, gardening as well as community activities. She had a deep abiding faith which centered her life in Christ

Lucy attended Sacramento State University, UC Irvine Medical School and was Radiology chief resident at Stanford University. She was a well respected Radiologist at Sutter Amador Hospital for 30 years.

A special Mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Date to be announced.
